Last Updated: September 9, 2026

Effective Date: September 9, 2026

App Name: PDF Files Snap

Developer: Fuzhou Mahu Zhenmei Network Technology Co., Ltd.

I. About This Policy

Fuzhou Mahu Zhenmei Network Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "we," "us," or "our") values your privacy and information security when you use PDF Files Snap.

This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Files Snap handles relevant information when providing features such as document scanning, PDF creation, optical character recognition (OCR), file import, file viewing, and file management. It also explains how you can manage your information and system permissions.

For information processing that requires your consent under applicable law, we will separately obtain your consent through system permission prompts, in-app notices, or other appropriate means. Refusing non-essential information processing will not affect the normal use of PDF Files Snap's basic document features.

II. User Documents and Other Core Content

1. Scope of Core Content

The following content that you create, import, view, or edit in PDF Files Snap is collectively referred to as "User Core Content":

Scanned images captured using the camera;

Images selected from the photo library or system files;

PDF files that you create or import;

Text generated through OCR;

Document pages, annotations, and resulting signatures;

File names, folders, and other information.

2. Local Processing Principle

In the current version, User Core Content is primarily processed locally on your device. We do not proactively upload User Core Content to our servers, nor do we access your documents through background scanning, remote viewing, or manual review. User Core Content is not provided to advertising or analytics SDKs and is not used for advertising profiling, ad targeting, or user behavior analysis.

OCR is performed locally on your device. The images used for recognition and the recognition results are not automatically uploaded to our servers by the OCR feature.

3. User-Initiated Export or Sharing

When you choose to export, share, or send content to another app, the relevant content is sent to the system service or third-party app you specify, in accordance with your instructions.

You initiate these transfers. Third-party apps, cloud storage services, email services, or file services that receive the content will handle it in accordance with their own privacy policies.

If you voluntarily send documents, screenshots, or other materials to customer support as attachments relating to an issue, we will view and use those materials only to the extent necessary to address the issue you reported.

III. Information We and Third-Party Services May Process

To support the app's operation, analyze feature usage, troubleshoot crashes, and display in-app advertisements, we or third-party SDKs integrated into the app may process the following information.

1. Device and Network Information

This may include:

Device model, brand, and type;

iOS version, app version, and system language;

Screen size, time zone, and network connection type;

IP address and approximate country or region inferred from the IP address;

Device-level identifiers such as IDFV;

IDFA, which may be used after system tracking authorization is obtained.

This information is primarily used to support different devices, maintain network connectivity, detect abnormal traffic, display advertisements, measure advertising effectiveness, and analyze app stability.

2. App Usage Information

This may include:

App launches and closures;

Visits to feature pages;

Button clicks and the number of times features are used;

Feature response times and page loading information;

Records of ad impressions, ad clicks, and ad dismissals;

App version, usage times, and basic interaction events.

This information is used to understand whether features are operating properly, identify abnormal operation flows, assess feature usage, and improve the interface and interaction design.

3. Diagnostic and Performance Information

When crashes, unresponsiveness, or other technical issues occur, analytics or diagnostic services may process:

Crash logs and error codes;

The time of the crash;

App version and system version;

Startup times, unresponsiveness information, and performance metrics;

Device operating status related to the issue;

Random installation identifiers used to identify similar errors.

Diagnostic information is used only to troubleshoot software errors, fix vulnerabilities, and improve app stability. It is not used to read or analyze your document content.

4. Customer Support Communications

When you contact us by email or through other publicly listed contact methods, we may receive:

The email address you use to contact us;

The issue description you voluntarily provide;

Device model, system version, and app version;

Screenshots, logs, or other attachments you voluntarily provide.

Please do not include sensitive content unrelated to your issue in customer support emails.

IV. Use of System Permissions

PDF Files Snap requests relevant permissions only when you use the corresponding features.

Camera permission: To photograph paper documents, images, or other content and create PDFs or perform OCR.

Photo library permission: To import images you select for PDF creation or OCR.

Storage permission: To import, open, or save PDFs and other supported files that you actively select.

Tracking permission: Once authorized, to allow advertising services to use IDFA for personalized advertising or to measure advertising effectiveness.

You can review or withdraw permissions you have granted through the system permission management features in iOS. Withdrawing a permission may prevent the corresponding feature from continuing to work, but it does not affect the lawfulness of processing already completed before the withdrawal.

V. In-App Advertising and Tracking

PDF Files Snap displays third-party advertisements to support the app's ongoing development and maintenance.

Advertising providers may use device information, IP addresses, approximate regions, ad impression records, ad click records, and device identifiers to display advertisements, control ad frequency, measure advertising effectiveness, and detect fraud.

When advertising services involve cross-app or cross-website tracking as defined by Apple, we will request AppTrackingTransparency authorization before accessing IDFA or enabling the relevant tracking activities.

If you deny tracking authorization:

PDF scanning, PDF creation, OCR, document editing, and file management features will not be restricted as a result;

The app will not use IDFA to track you across apps or websites;

You may still see advertisements, but they may be non-personalized or displayed based on the current app context.

VI. Purposes for Using Information

We use relevant information only for the following purposes:

Providing core features;

Identifying and resolving app crashes, unresponsiveness, and feature malfunctions;

Analyzing feature usage and improving operation flows and interface design;

Displaying in-app advertisements and measuring advertising effectiveness;

Detecting malicious requests, abnormal traffic, and advertising fraud;

Responding to user feedback and handling technical support requests;

Fulfilling obligations under applicable laws and regulations.

If we intend to use information for other purposes that differ significantly from those described above, we will explain those purposes to you separately before processing the information and obtain your consent where required by law.

VII. Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We do not provide User Core Content to advertisers, analytics providers, or other third parties.

In the following circumstances, certain technical information may be processed by third parties:

1. To Provide Advertising, Analytics, or Diagnostic Services

Advertising, analytics, and crash diagnostic providers may directly receive necessary device information, usage information, and diagnostic information through SDKs integrated into the app. We review the purposes, permissions, and data practices of these SDKs and require them to process the relevant information only for the agreed purposes.

2. Based on Actions You Initiate

When you choose to share documents, the relevant content is sent to the app or service you specify.

3. As Required by Law

Where required by applicable laws and regulations, judicial proceedings, or lawful requests from competent authorities, we may provide necessary information to the extent permitted or required by law.

We do not sell or rent users' PDF files, scanned images, OCR results, or other User Core Content, nor do we use such content to create advertising profiles.

VIII. Information Retention Periods

1. User Core Content

You store User Core Content on your local device or in a file location that you actively choose. You determine how long it is retained.

2. Usage, Advertising, and Diagnostic Information

Information processed by third-party SDKs is retained for as long as necessary for ad delivery, effectiveness measurement, fraud prevention, statistical analysis, and troubleshooting. It is deleted, de-identified, or anonymized once those purposes have been fulfilled.

3. Customer Support Materials

Customer support communication records are retained for as long as necessary to resolve the issue and conduct follow-up reviews.

IX. Cross-Border Processing

Some advertising, analytics, or diagnostic providers may have servers or technical support teams outside your country or region.

If relevant information needs to be processed across borders, we will take the necessary measures under applicable law. These include clearly informing you of the overseas recipient, the purposes of processing, the categories of information, and the protection measures; obtaining separate consent where required by law; and requiring the recipient to provide protection consistent with applicable law.

User Core Content will not be sent to overseas servers as a result of advertising, analytics, or diagnostic services.

X. Information Security

We take security measures appropriate to the risks associated with information processing. However, absolute security cannot be guaranteed for the internet, device systems, or software operating environments. We recommend setting a screen-lock passcode on your device and properly managing local copies or trusted backups of important documents.

If an information security incident occurs that may affect your rights and interests, we will take remedial measures in accordance with the law and, where required by applicable law, notify you of the incident and the protective measures you can take.

XI. Your Information Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to request access to and a copy of your personal data, its correction or deletion, or restriction of its processing. You may also withdraw consent at any time or ask us to explain the rules governing processing. In addition, in certain circumstances, you have the rights to data portability and to object. We will handle your requests in accordance with the law within the statutory time limits and may ask to verify your identity.

For User Core Content stored locally on your device, you can view, edit, and delete it directly through the app or the system's file management features. Because we do not hold this content, we generally cannot restore or delete local documents on your behalf.

You may also:

Disable camera or photo permissions in the system settings;

Withdraw tracking authorization through the system's tracking permission management features;

Stop using the app and delete its data;

Submit information processing requests using the contact details provided in this Policy.

When handling your request, we may need to verify device information related to the request or other necessary details. Please do not send us document content or sensitive materials unrelated to verification.

XII. Protection of Minors

PDF Files Snap is not specifically designed for minors under the age of fourteen.

Minors should read this Policy and use the app under the guidance of a parent or other guardian. Guardians should help minors appropriately manage camera, photo, file, and advertising tracking permissions.

If we discover that we have processed personal information of a minor under the age of fourteen without appropriate guardian consent, we will, after verification, stop the relevant processing and delete the corresponding information in accordance with the law.

XIII. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy in response to changes in features, SDKs, legal requirements, or privacy protection measures.

If an update materially affects your information-related rights and interests, we will explain it to you through in-app notices, release notes, or other appropriate means. The updated Policy will apply from the stated effective date.
